Unlike the original versions from the 90's you can now get moving even quicker with teh simple front foot flow. While you still can opt to learn directly learning the classic two foot carve. (Info on that below)
The Simple: Front Foot Flow:
- Which ever way you are going to learn. One thing is key. You need to always synchronise where you throw your weight with your upper body with your foot movement.
- For the two foot carve is simply a case of leaning over your front foot toe and pushing down with your front foot on the tow edge
- In sync push down on the heel edge with your front foot and shift your weight leading with your front shoulder over your heel hedge.
- Repeat. And use this opportunity to get used to finding your balance on thie Snakeboard.
THE POWER: TWO FOOT CARVE
The two foot carve is the classic Snakeboard movement. This is the power movement. It’s what’s going to get you hitting incredible speeds on the flats and flying up even the steepest Hill.
- The most unnatural part of this movement is learning the toes and toes out foot movement. Many people naturally move their feet in parallel when in fact each foot wants to be moving like a mirror image of the other.
- What do you have practiced the foot movement? It’s time to try on the board. Start with your toes pointed together and your front shoulder reaching towards your back foot plate as if you’re going to do a low clap next to your rear hip.
- You then want to open your toes. And swing your arms across your body as if going to a high clap next to your leading ear.
- You then just need to repeat these making sure that on each movement you are not just doing the movement but throwing your weight in the direction that naturally the board will be turning due to your foot position.
